About us

Founded in 1868, the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Igatpuri grew from a small Catholic community linked to the G.I.P. Railway. Guided by many devoted priests, the Church building was completed in 1881 and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Over the years, the parish expanded with a school, convent, and pastoral services. Today, the Church is entrusted to the Dominican Fathers, with
Fr. Xavier Kandulna, O.P. serving as
Parish Priest.
